Clear Creek Canyon

New Economy Cliff

The New Economy Cliff is located on the south side of Clear Creek Canyon, about 1 mile up river from Tunnel #3. The most obvious feature on the cliff band is a large white right-facing corner. The climbing is divided into three major areas. The lower left area has one route, Online Trading. The center area (near a large white dike and an upper gold headwall) has 6 routes, and the right area (near the large corner) has 8 routes. The right area is divided into the Lower Right Area (left of the corner) and the Upper Right Area (right of the corner)

There is an obvious pullout directly across from the cliff, on the south side of the road. The cliff can be approached by wading the river, or by a Tyrolean traverse (if it is not cut by vandals) located about 500 feet up the river from the parking area.
